Ambience With its gorgeous black-and-white marble walls and floors, the water-themed Remede exudes an air of aristocratic elegance reminiscent of opulent Mediterranean Thalasso spas. The indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis are stylishly constructed with marble, while the spacious eucalyptus-scented steam room – designed to look like Roman bath chambers with individual “booth seats” – is the most extravagant we’ve seen.

Recommended The 210-minute Remede Spa Experience for two ($880), consisting of a scrub, massage, facial and bathing ritual. It is administered in the Jade Suite, which boasts a luxurious ensuite bathroom with a roomy stone tub, where you and your other half end the treatment with a warm soak, indulging in fine chocolates with your choice of either TWG tea or champagne.

What else you’ll love Everything about the spa spells exclusivity and attention to detail. It uses high-performance skin- and body-care products from high-end brand Laboratoire Remede. The massage oil is of such a high quality that it feels like a silky cream, not a greasy slick, on skin. The heated relaxation loungers carved out of marble are not just a sight to behold, but also pure bliss to lie on.

Ambience What this cosy spa lacks in size, it makes up for with its location in one of the most central but secluded areas in Singapore. Decked out like a rustic retreat with dark wood, stone and bubbling water features, it overlooks the club’s expanse of quiet greenery and makes you feel like you’re far away from it all.

Recommended The 210-minute Lush Wedding Bells package ($550). It starts with a floral foot bath, a sensual body polish using mood-enhancing essential oils, and an aromatic steam bath and Jacuzzi soak, during which you are served fine canapes and bubbly. This is followed by a massage and a hydrating-radiance facial using Decleor products.

What else you’ll love The treatment begins and ends in the spacious couple room, so you don’t have to share facilities with other guests. The room has a large Jacuzzi tub and a cleverly designed glass
shower stall cum steam room with a built-in stone seat. The therapists also made an excellent impression with their warm, pleasant demeanour and soothing massage strokes – they seem to know exactly where your achy spots are and how to moderate their strength.
